‘Jubilee Jamboree’ Family Fun Day at HFG Dorchester

Kicking off the Jubilee Bank Holiday with a bang were the team at Hunt Forest Group Dorchester, with the aptly named ‘Jubilee Jamboree Family Fun Day’. Giving visitors and families local to the Piddlehinton site open access to the Branch Showroom and the huge range of stocked John Deere machinery on display.

Whilst the nation prepared for Garden & Street parties around the country, the team at Dorchester Hunt Forest Group led by branch manager, Tom Yeatman had an action-packed day planned with Tractor treasure hunts, Hook-a-duck, a Ride-on tractor course and a Craft zone set up for visitors of all ages. The many John Deere Tractors of all shapes and sizes were open for exploring, ranging from ride-on lawn mowers and Tractors to a massive Forage harvester. There were even pens full of Spring Lambs and Chickens, quite the draw when they were not escaping.

Having run painting competitions with Piddlehinton, Cheselbourne, Piddle Valley & Buckland Newton Primary schools, the family fun day gave the perfect opportunity to unveil the winning artwork, with 3 student paintings from each of the 4 schools chosen to adorn the showroom walls – winning pupils and their families were invited to see their artwork displayed.

The Hunt Forest Group bakers had also been busy, with cakes, cookies and pastries providing refreshments on the day for many hungry visitors, the Bake sale raising over £400 for Macmillan.

The hard work by all of the Hunt Forest team resulted in a great time being had by all, with so many families visiting the local John Deere dealership and enjoying some of the highlights British farming has to offer.
