Hunt Forest Group’s Land Based Engineering Apprenticeship programme offers a direct pathway into a highly skilled, globally recognised career as an Agricultural or Turf Machinery Service Technician.
Designed in partnership with John Deere, this apprenticeship combines hands on experience, technical training, and industry leading qualifications – all while you earn and learn.
WHAT YOU''LL ACHIEVE
- Level 2 or Level 3 Qualification in Land Based Engineering
- John Deere accredited training
- Globally recognised certification
- Career pathway to Agricultural or Turf Machinery Service Technician
On completion, apprentices are fully qualified to work as professional technicians servicing and maintaining agricultural or turf machinery.
WHAT YOU'LL LEARN
- How to service and repair agricultural and turf machinery
- Mechanical, electrical hydraulic and electronic systems
- Advanced diagnostics using John Deere technology
- Health and safety along with industry best practice
- Professional customer service and teamwork
COURSE STRUCTURE
- 3 year course with 6 month End Point Assessment (3.5 years in total)
- 80% on the job training at Hunt Forest Group with a dedicated mentor
- 20% at the John Deere training centre in Nottingham
