Parts Advisor

Basic Salary:Between £24,000 – £31,720 DOE potential earnings of £38K+ to include overtime.

Job type: Full time / Permanent 

Hours: 8am-5pm Monday – Friday (+ weekend and seasonal work on a rota basis)

About you

Our business is experiencing an exciting period of growth. As a result, we are looking for a proactive and experienced Parts Advisor within our Dorchester parts department. We will be looking to build on your knowledge and for you to gain confidence within the role during your career with HFG. Working efficiently and accurately, you consistently provide the highest level of support to our customers. You enjoy working in a team but are equally capable of working from your own initiative.

About the role:

Responsible for assisting with the selling, receiving and delivery of parts and accessories. In addition, delivers in-store customer service whilst assisting with the overall organisational, promotional and stocking duties.

  • Assists with promoting and selling parts and/or services to meet customer needs.
  • Supplies Service Technicians with parts as required.
  • Assists with preparing and maintaining merchandise display.
  • Supports with verifying receipt of incoming shipments and assists with locating Machine Down and Stock Orders in their correct location.
  • Follows up on shortages and accelerates issues by reporting to the Outlet Parts Manager
  • Executes sales parts marketing plans and shares ideas for future campaigns.
  • Executes telemarketing sales operations.
  • Maintains control of inventory management, invoicing and other administration tasks.
  • Assists in keeping parts inventory clean, orderly and well organized.

Relevant Skills/Experience:

  • Competent knowledge of agricultural equipment and the farming industry.
  • Ability to use standard computer applications and internet functions.
  • Excellent customer relationship skills.
  • Familiar with John Deere and competitive products.
  • Ability to work in a team environment..
