Hunt Forest Group are very excited to announce an amicable agreement in principle has been reached to acquire Smart Ag Services Ltd. John Deere’s main dealer for Dorset, Somerset and surrounding areas. Heads of Terms have been agreed and signed by both parties and the process is now underway to complete the business acquisition over the coming months.

Hunt Forest Group through the acquisition of Smart Ag Services Ltd will be growing to become a much larger John Deere dealer and protecting the future for all the staff and customers of both companies. This decision brings Ag and Turf franchises together through a single company for most of central Southern England, simplifying all aspects of parts and service supply to all our customers.

This is a strategic purchase solidifying the company’s position in the John Deere network for many years to come, creating one of the largest John Deere dealers in the UK. The move will see Hunt Forest Group expand and nearly double in size turning over close to £100m and employing near 180 people, all of which signals a clear ambition to increase John Deere and associated business in the South of the Country. This offers fantastic opportunities for customers, staff and our franchise partners as we grow together.

As a customer or supplier to either company there is NO CHANGE to the way you deal with either Hunt Forest Group or Smart Ag Services. Names, phone numbers, bank accounts etc all remain the same. The only background change you will notice is a greater and wider access to parts machinery and specialist knowledge.
