SHETLAND PONY GRAND NATIONAL AT GILLINGHAM AND SHAFTESBURY SHOW

Hunt Forest Group & HFG Off-Road were thrilled to be part of the Shetland Pony Grand National at the Shaftsbury & Gillingham Show.

One of our Isuzu V-Cross customers is a dedicated event supporter, and their daughter even competes as a jockey! We were honoured when our very own Isuzu Sales Manager, Gareth was asked to present the winning rosettes in the main arena, and it was fantastic to see all the young riders visit our stand after the race.

This incredible event brings together talented young jockeys and their Shetland ponies to compete and raise money for charity. This year’s focus is on the Bob Champion Cancer Trust, a cause close to many hearts. Bob Champion’s inspiring story of overcoming cancer to win the Grand National in 1981 on Aldaniti is a testament to the human spirit. His subsequent charity work has raised over £16 million, and the Shetland Pony Grand National is proud to contribute.

Last year, the event raised an impressive £38,000, and this year’s participants are determined to surpass that total. For these young riders, the ultimate goal is to secure one of the ten coveted places at the prestigious London International Horse Show in December.

We’re incredibly proud to support such a wonderful cause and celebrate the achievements of these amazing young people.
