The ViO23-6 is a mini excavator which can work in the tightest spots, making it perfect for many urban environments. As a true zero-tail swing mini excavator, it allows a full rotation of the upper frame within the width of the crawlers for maximum safety. The rear blind spot has also been reduced to a minimum. All of this means that work along walls can be undertaken confidently and efficiently, and without having to worry about the safety of site workers.

The transportation weight of the cabin version of the machine with standard counterweight and short arm is only 2,330 kg (not including quick hitch or any bucket attachment). With the ultra-compact retracted undercarriage, this means that the ViO23-6 can be easily transported by means of a trailer. Even when moved with a range of attachments, the total towed weight comes in at less than 3.5 tonnes.

Exceptional productivity is a given, thanks to an advanced combination of excavation power, arm length and extended operating cycles. The robust and reliable Yanmar 3TNV engine features an indirect injection system with mechanical speed governor. The auto-deceleration system and eco-mode setting offer additional fuel reduction possibilities, and there are excellent exhaust emission performances as well. For the hydraulic system, we use a control valve based on the ViPPS principle. This cumulates the flow of separate pumps in order to deliver optimal speed, power, smoothness and balance.

With a transport weight of just 2590 kg and a super-compact lower frame, the ViO26-6 can be easily transported on a truck, along with its accessories. It can also be carried on any trailer that allows a total transportation weight that doesn’t exceed 3.5 tonnes. Separate anchor points for fast and secure fixing also add to the ease of transportation to new sites.

The ViO26-6 is equipped with a flow sharing hydraulic system comprising a variable-flow piston pump and a load signalling and flow sharing distributor. Each section of the distributor has a pressure balance that delivers flow proportional to the operator’s demand and the available instantaneous flow ensures smooth and assured performance. An auxiliary line with on/off control can be used for breakers, augers or many other accessories. Options such as proportional control of the 3rd circuit and installation of a potentiometer are available for greater usage flexibility.

With an output of 15.8 kW at 2500 rpm, the advanced Yanmar engine is the result of our continuous efforts to achieve technological gains in fuel economy and lower emissions. In particular, improved fuel injection reduces emissions as well as noise. To further reduce fuel consumption, an auto-deceleration system lowers the engine speed to idle when the machine has not been used for four seconds, and then automatically reaccelerates as soon as necessary.

Operators can work with total peace of mind regarding the safety of those around them, especially in highly restricted urban environments, given that the ViO27-6 is a true zero tail mini-excavator. Since its front part does not protrude, it has a very small radius of rotation, allowing for safe upper frame rotation. Particularly efficient when walking along walls, dead angles are also reduced to a minimum, thanks to the excellent all-round visibility.

The ViO27-6 offers exceptional performance for a machine in its class. Its digging depth of 2,940 mm with long arm and its digging forces (bucket) of 23.1 kN and digging forces (arm) of 14.4 kN allow it to work quickly and efficiently, even under severe conditions. The 1500 mm width of its undercarriage and excellent weight distribution offer similar or better stability compared to other machines of the same weight class, as well as great lifting capacities. An optional additional counterweight further enhances the stability of this excavator.

The cabin is equipped as standard with a comfortable and ergonomic suspension seat with adjustable controls, high-backrest and retractable seatbelt. Spacious leg room is boosted by the flat floor, while all control levers are ideally located for exceptional ease and precision of movement, whether via joystick or foot pedal. The machine offers the operator an ergonomic environment, with excellent visibility and exceptional safety considerations. In particular, the cabin shape provides optimum 360° visibility to enhance on-site safety and improve efficiency.

The ViO33-6 uses a ViPPS hydraulic system to obtain the optimal combination in terms of speed, power, smoothness and balance. The system configuration uses a double, variable displacement piston pump, plus two gear pumps. These three main pumps totalise a maximum flow of 95,7 l/min, available for main operating movements, cumulated in the main control valves. The ViPPS system thereby maximises efficiency by allowing smooth and simultaneous performance across all operations, even while travelling.

The ViO33-6 includes an auxiliary hydraulic circuit which is operated via a proportional control system located on the joystick. This adapts the overall flow and direction of the oil flow. Also making the machine easier to use is a second speed switch located on the blade lever. Control levers are ideally located for exceptional movement precision, while the boom swing benefits from proportional control via the proportional switch located on the right-hand joystick.

The ViO33-6 benefits from a unique and comprehensive protection system to safeguard its boom and arm cylinders. All cylinder tubes and rods are protected by a spring type steel plate, which reduces drastically the total cost of ownership of the machine. In addition, a unique Kingpost component is attached via a single bolt. This not only makes it last longer, but also reduces vibrations and ensures fewer wear gaps in a critical area of the machine.

A big advantage of the ViO38-6 in terms of lower fuel consumption and eco-footprint while still offering great performance is its 3TNV88-ESBV engine. This has an output of 18.9 kW at 2,200 rpm, while a control unit optimises the engine loading. An auto-deceleration system fitted as standard sets the engine to idle if the operator doesn’t touch the operating levers for 4 seconds. In addition, eco-mode reduces engine speed by 300 rpm, further lowering fuel consumption.

A wealth of clever design features combine to make the ViO38-6 exceptionally stable, resulting in excellent lifting force capacity. These include a very low centre of gravity, plus a long undercarriage that also ensures a smoother ride. Optimal mass distribution means that the loading chart of the machine can be improved in most positions. The boom has also been completely redesigned in order to further improve lifting capacity and digging performance, and to provide longer service life.

A great deal of thought has gone into ensuring operator comfort, from the large entrance door through to the generously sized cabin and plentiful legroom. Standard features include an adjustable wrist rest and a fully adjustable air suspension seat with headrest to reduce body tension and fatigue. The translation lever comes with folding pedals to allow more operator space. Three rear view mirrors aid 360-degree visibility, while new electronic instrumentation, improved ergonomics and optional air conditioning all aid operator comfort.

The advanced 28.3 kW TNV engine is equipped with direct injection to create clean burning power. The engine is also equipped with a common rail system to allow fine-tuned electronic control of fuel injection. The Yanmar engine is fully compliant with EU Stage V emission requirements, thanks to cooled exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) which drastically reduces nitrogen oxide emissions. In addition, the diesel particulate filter (DPF) helps clean up exhaust emissions. We have also developed an exclusive regeneration system to combat clogging and reduce cleaning down-time.

The ergonomically designed cabin is luxurious and spacious, with a generous entrance and plenty of leg room. Welcome touches that help reduce operator fatigue include an adjustable wrist rest and a seat with pneumatic suspension. Three rear-view mirrors aid the excellent all-round visibility and promote safety. A translation lever with folding pedals also allows more operator space and therefore comfort, and all control levers are located for ease and precision of movement.

The ViO50-6B uses a ViPPS hydraulic system consisting of one double variable displacement piston pump and two gear pumps. These three main pumps totalise a maximum flow of 132.8 l/min, available for main machine operating movements. Pump flows are cumulated in the main control valves to obtain the optimal combination of speed, power, smoothness and balance. The ViPPS system thus allows smooth and simultaneous performance of all operations, even when travelling.

This is a true zero tail swing machine, as neither the counterweight nor the front part of the upper frame project beyond the track width. With its front part designed not to protrude, the ViO57-6B also has a very small turning radius. The rear blind spot is additionally reduced to a minimum. All of this results in improved safety for both the operator and on-site workers. It also makes this model ideal for constricted urban environments and when working along walls.

The large cabin offers high levels of comfort, including a generously sized entrance door and plenty of interior legroom. A translation lever with folding pedals also adds further space and comfort for the operator. Welcome extra touches include an adjustable wrist rest, and the seat features pneumatic suspension. The ergonomic operating environment has also been designed to reduce noise and thus operator fatigue. Three rear-view mirrors ensure excellent all-round operational visibility as well.

The ViO57-6B can be used for long periods between services. It’s equipped with a digital interface which informs the operator in real time about the status of the machine and assists with scheduling servicing. Daily maintenance is made easy thanks to the easy-to-open engine bonnet and the single-hinge mounting of the right-hand side cover. This gives access to all major elements that may need regular checking, including the fuel tank, radiator, air filter and several other components. A flat floor mat also makes cleaning easier.
